CURRENT STATUS OF SOME OF THE ISSUES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

RESOLVED:

   Willingness to have “standard hours of operation, closing no later than 10PM;
CVS is no longer seeking to operate 24 hours per day!
Additional sidewalks on the CVS property for pedestrians
Windows added to the Norwood Avenue side of the building - no longer a  blank wall
   Somewhat improved landscape design
Period lighting and “night sky-friendly lighting”
Add a bike rack to the site
A wrought iron fence and/or hedge will be installed on a portion of the property
Maintaining the current width of the sidewalks preserving the "boulevard effect"
Agreement not to use the liquor license

SEMI-RESOLVED:

New proposed building design is more architecturally compatible with the neighborhood

(We are still trying to get more of a roof line or a better design but CVS is very reluctant)
Omitting the oversized LED electronic sign
(We are still trying to eliminate additional signage pollution – including the monument sign which is 5’10” x 6’2”’).  The city traffic engineer agrees that the monument sign must be thoroughly reviewed for sight line etc
 Further improvement to landscaping design

PENDING

Signage and 2 other variances, approval needed by zoning, for signage and setbacks

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY- NOT DISCUSSED AND STILL AN OPEN ITEM

Bringing the building closer to the street with parking in the rear of the building (CVS does NOT want to    move the building; the proposed building is what it is)

   Eliminate dual drive through

Eliminate 10 parking spaces from the site (The City requires that the site only needs 65 parking spaces;  CVS has requested 75 parking spaces and the City is agreeing with CVS on the additional parking spaces which is extremely disappointing!!)

**Safety and traffic issues still exist – intersection already is rated at a level “F” – which is a failing intersection!  What is the impact of the CVS store at our already failing intersection???
